Auction 1836 (8 of 8) - Hyde Farm

Lot 16 of the land and property auction of 26th July 1836 comprised the Hyde Farm, Handcross with about 229 acres.
The Large Version shows the complete page 9 of the catalogue.
It states that part of the estate was in the parish of North Beeding, of which name I have never heard. The land is now located in Lower Beeding parish; a more familiar name..
The bidding started at 2000 gns and increased to 2400 gns (£2520). It’s probably worth more nowadays.
Select Open Document to view the back cover of the catalogue which may well be difficult to read. But do not despair; a more legible transcription is attached!
