My Ladies' Bowl at Slaugham Furnace Pond (2 of 4)

This is a quite modern photograph from 2013 showing, in the centre of the picture, the brown chalybeate water rising out of the water bowl and running along a short channel to join up with the outflow from the Furnace Pond in the dip on the left of the picture.
The Large Version shows a similar view but closer to the bowl.
Select Open Document for a picture of the embankment with a new white fence and gate at the top of the dam on the roadside. On the right is the overflow water cascading down from the lake above. Steps have now been introduced, which is all very well, but it is not half as much fun as trying to descend the steep slope without ending up on your posterior!
