The moat at Slaugham Place ruins barely protects what’s left of the house against invaders these days as it consists of a straight stretch of water about 150 yards in length!
The Large version shows a close up of the view and a man and lady can be seen just leaving the bridge. Perhaps they were the owners at that time, Major Cuthbert Blundell and his wife, Marjorie.
