Charles Jenner and Lucy Pittuck

Pictured here are Charles Jenner of 3 Batchelors Buildings in Handcross High Street, and Lucy Pittuck. The photograph has been taken from a newspaper cutting but unfortunately the accompanying text has gone missing!
The location is Marina Parade in Brighton and the occasion is most likely the finishing line of the annual London to Brighton veteran car run which takes place on the first Sunday of November. Veteran cars are those manufactured before the end of 1918.
Charlie’s car was a three-wheeled 1927 Morgan Aero and perhaps they have just completed the run, although perhaps not in his vehicle which comes under the category of vintage (1919 to 1930).
More details can be found at picture #419.
The records show that the birth of a Lucy Pittuck was registered in Horsham in early 1975, but I can offer no further details.
The Large Version shows what is left of the full cutting.
