Staplefield church organist (4 of 5)Bernard Corbett was the organist at St Mark’s in Staplefield for 28 years and to show the parishioners appreciation for his long service they collected a fund to enable him to be presented with a gold watch. The presentation was made by the Archdeacon of Lewes.
The photograph shows, from the left, Ron Charlton, Mrs Lilian Corbett (1893-1972), Bernard Corbett (1900-1971), The Archdeacon of Lewes, and Rev. Douglas Polhill.
