Half Moon, Warninglid

The front of this promotional card of the Half Moon is interesting in that Brickwoods Ales of Portsmouth have their name so prominently displayed. As a younger man I well remember how beer drinkers either liked Brickwoods best bitter, or refused to drink it. I recall that the famous industrialist, Sir John Hervey-Jones famously said that Brickwoods beer was “terrible”. See picture #270 for the reverse of the card.
