An aerial view of High Beeches house. Little did the owners and servants realise at the time that the house would soon be destroyed by an airplane falling out of the sky.

Not specifically about this picture but you may be interested in two references to the Halifax crash.
The first is in the Hull Daily Mail of 25th October 2017 which is about tributes to the pilot (Tom Gallantry) on his death. The second is Tom's own account of the flight to bomb Stuttgart in the Ashdown Forest Living magazine of December 2018.
