St Mark's church, Staplefield

The distinctive shape of a Chile Pine, or Monkey Puzzle tree, can be seen silhouetted against the roof of Staplefield church, and I would assume that this was planted soon after the consecration of the church in 1847. There is no trace of the tree today.
