Clock tower at High Beeches

Lt Col Giles Loder’s horse Spion Kop won the Epsom Derby in 1920 and to celebrate the victory a clock tower was constructed over the coach houses. The poor quality picture shows the work proceeding, but by the time picture #36 was taken the dormer windows had been removed and replaced by roof windows.
