Aerial view of Slaugham

This image and also that seen on picture #384 are actually the same photograph, but this one has been processed in a portrait orientation, and the other in landscape. Therefore each picture shows parts of the village not shown on the other. Closer inspection reveals that almost every house had their garden put to food production with row upon row of plants both large and small.
Except for one unidentifiable vehicle outside the Chequers, the village is devoid of cars. The village tap stands in its usual place but the telephone kiosk had yet to be installed.
