At first glance I assumed that the cricket pitch was identifiable in the foreground by the worn patches at either end of the 22 yards between the stumps. Just to the right of the pitch can be seen the cricket pavilion. However the boundary to the north would be far too short, and from the tracks left by the mower and the orientation of the pavilion, I conclude that the central strip was situated further to the south just off the picture.
However, what is clear is that just to the north of the cricket pitch is a tennis court in the grounds of the Rectory.
