Jim Biggs has kindly supplied the programme for this play and this can be viewed by selecting Open Document.
The programme informs us that "Lorenzo" was played by Mrs Jeffrey, and "Jessica", his girlfriend, by Miss Dengate. They are seen above holding hands in the back row, second and third from the left. Therefore the listing above is incorrect and Mrs Agnes Dengate's name should be replaced by her daughter, Phyllis "Mollie" Dengate.
In 1952 Mrs Agnes Dengate would have been aged 85, and probably too ancient to take the part of a girlfriend!
The programme indicates that "God Save the King" would be sung at the end of the performance and perhaps the "al fresco" play was actually performed in the previous year as King George VI died on 6th February 1952.
