Chodds Farm House

Chodds Farm House, probably taken in the early 1970s. There was a platform on the right hand side of the driveway where the milk churns were placed for collection each day. At that time I believe the Butlers ran the hardware shop; were they Les and Doris?

Comments:
I used to live here in the 1940s, it is a very special place to me having spent many years here. i would like to know the history of it. I know that it was built in 1690 as it was carved on a beam in the house.

In 1942, a visiting school dentist, a "Margaret Rutherford" type Lady, used a foot treadle drilling machine in Chodds front room to drill our teeth!
