The Cyclist Rest, Handcross

The photograph has been overwritten “The Cyclist Rest, Handcross”, and, according to the sign above the door, the proprietor is “H. Leppard. Licensed to sell tobacco”.
The house is now known as Skies, with Hill View on the left and Heyford on the right.
The sign in the window informs us that “Home Made Ginger Beer and (I assume) Lemonade” is for sale.
The white frame with the hooks in the foreground provides the support for a canopy as shown in picture #453.
It is not clear whether these smart fellows have arrived by bicycle or not, but it is refreshing not to see any gaudy lycra!
