Fred Jackman's calendar

It is a wonder this has survived after all this time but it seems that Frederick Jackman who ran the bakers and confectioners shop in the Handcross High Street gave his favoured customers a 22" x 17" calendar at Christmas 1919 for the following year. The painting is titled Strictly Confidential; surely he is not suggesting that some of his lady customers like to gossip! The shop can be see on picture #133.
