Barry Ray Year: 1910 Villages: StaplefieldStaplefield Grange
Even with this slightly distant view of Staplefield Grange, it is noted that there has been significant alterations to the building shown in picture #475. On the upper part of the large sloping roof on the left stone slabs have replaced the temporary tiles, and a chimney stack has been added. On the right the large chimney stack has been removed and replaced by an upper floor extension, and another chimney has been added.
In the foreground more than a dozen very young trees have been planted, and unusually for a postcard where anything untoward is ignored, several mounds of spoil are on display!
