Handcross Police Station in the snow

The Police House in Handcross was one of a terrace of three constructed by Stephen Knight, builders of Cuckfield, on behalf of East Sussex County Council. Road workers employed by the County Council occupied the other two houses in the row.
In 1953 an office was built as an extension on the south side. Previously the office was located in what is now the dining room.
