Barry Ray Year: 1913 Villages: StaplefieldSummer house at Staplefield Place
In the grounds of Staplefield Place stands an attractive circular thatched building with a fireplace and an attached arbor in which to sit and relax. It seems that this building not longer exists. There seems to be some risk of a fire hazard!
The garden is immaculate and, being very level, perfectly suitable for a full-sized croquet lawn with a playing area of 35 yards by 28 yards. The area has been marked out and one flag and one hoop are clearly visible.
