The picture is of the Hyde estate cricket team in Handcross sometime in the 1930s.
Ernest Tomsett is 2nd from left at the back, and his brother Jack Tomsett is 2nd from left in the front row.
The clock was later re-sited to over the tractor shed at Hoadlands Farm, behind the school, and remains there today.

I have now searched my paperwork and found names of all players in the photograph. The complete list is:-
Back row (left to right): A Bartlett, Ernest Tomsett (my grandfather – a gardener), P Faulkner (painter), J. Humphrey, A. Thornton, J. Cummins, F. Vidler.
Front row: E. Botting, Jack Tomsett (Ernest’s brother), Ebbie Robins, A Farrow, A. Beet, Walter Biggs.
