Auction of Handcross Park

The auction of Handcross Park Estate in July 1905 included a “Handsome Mansion”, “Farm Buildings, Capital House for Steward, a Handsome Entrance Lodge, Superior Cottages”, and “Capital Houses, Cottages, Shops, etc in the adjacent picturesque Village of Handcross”. It is worth noting that the auctioneers chose this picture of the “handsome” entrance lodge to put on the front cover of the catalogue!
Click on Large Version for the relevant section of the auction particulars describing the lodge.
