Hyde cricket team

Further to the earlier picture #503 here is another of the Hyde estate cricket team. However, there are 22 players in the photograph and the Hyde team is clearly playing against another from Handcross.
The players are as follows:-
Back row: Ernest Tomsett (my grandfather), A. Rennie, J. Powell, Arthur Farrow, Ebbie Robins
Middle row: A. Bartlett, E. Botting, Benjamin Poulsum, H. Sadler, John Bailey, J. Cummins, J. Humphrey, F. Vidler, A. Thornton, A. Beet.
Front row:- J. Tomsett, A. Brown, W. Doggett, J. Bailey, T. Bailey, P. Faulkner, William Biggs, Walter Biggs.
Please can anyone identify the team the Hyde was playing against. The Hyde team is playing at home with the thatched pavilion in the background.
Click on Large Version for a close up of the players.

Comments:
I think that W. Doggett was my great-grandad who was a gardener at the Hyde.
Also my grandad's name is Brown and he came from Handcross.

Your great-grandfather, William Doggett, was indeed the father of Hepsy and Constance (see picture #488) and was head gardener at the Hyde for 43 years.

My grandad is John Bailey in the middle row and his brothers, Jim and Tom, are in the front row.
Fantastic to see a picture of grandad; we don't have many.

My great uncle, Bill Biggs, is shown. I have the Handcross Park cricket club bowling cup which he won in 1922, 1923 and 1928 and was then given to him.
It is my prize possession. Lovely gentle man.
