Slaugham church with car parked outside

The card was posted to Rotterdam in 1956, but, looking at the car probably owned by the photographer, I suspect the picture was taken some years earlier.
Please can anyone identify the make and model of the car? Please click on Large Version for a close up of the car.

Churches - Slaugham - Front
If contrast and diversity are the spice of life,
Then the roof of our church is especially rife.
The nave, now covered with clay tiles from Burgess Hill,
Could have been thatched with straw or heather, earlier still.
The shingles of oak on the tower’s squat cap,
Have been substituted with cedar from Canada.
How diverse is that?

The Covert Chapel stands original and lone
Four hundred years; roofed with Horsham stone.
The South aisle, green slated from Cumberland hails
Whereas the toilet extension has slate from Wales-

Or who knows? Nowadays they could have come from Poland,
Or Hungary, or even China!
