Painting of Slaugham church

This picture is of Slaugham church from a painting of 1805 and shows the sloping roof for the extension and the ancient wooden porch which was destroyed in 1857. It is pleasing to note that the artist decided to include the ancient yew tree (picture #585), but I suspect that the building on the extreme right is a figment of his imagination!
