Interior of Slaugham church and war memorial

This is a more general view of the interior of Slaugham with the Union Flag draped over the war memorial which was erected in 1920 and contains 49 names. A further 20 names commemorate the fallen in the Second World War.
In recent years the seating configuration has changed and many of the old pews have been removed. It is difficult to describe the present layout and I can only suggest that you pay a visit to see for yourself.
The Large Version shows an entry in a 1946 parish magazine relating to those from the parish who lost their lives in the Second World War. It is important to note this list is simply an update and does not include those who were killed in the first part of the war. For a complete list go to picture #1295.
