Please can anyone help to identify the photographer or the subject? Was there a photographer named C. Langridge operating in Handcross?

This picture is in the following groups
The photographer was Charles Langridge (1872-1959), the Head Gardener at Ashfold Gardens between 1901 and 1932. You can read an account of Langridge's life and career on my Sussex PhotoHistory website under the heading "Photographers in Mid-Sussex Villages".

My father, Peter Brown (94y), grew up in the village.
He recollects the man having connections with the Zoar Baptist Chapel possibly the Sunday School teacher.
