I last saw Arthur Feist in the Fountain Inn accompanied by Rosemary Carrigan in about 1962. I enquired of his brother, Mick, now in Canada, of what had taken place in the meantime. He informed me that Arthur and Rosemary married in 1963, and Arthur served in the RAF for 24 years during which time he was awarded the MBE and earned a Phd from Brunel University.
He worked in several countries around the world and was the European Director for Ratheon.
He is now retired and lives in Seaford. Rosemary is the president of the local bowls club.

A few months ago I learned of the sad death of my late aunt’s niece, Marian Baldwin (née Hobden), formerly of Handcross, then of Hassocks. She passed away peacefully on 6th August 2015, aged 81.
At the time, I wrote to her husband of 54 years, Tony, offering my sympathies and included a mention that Marian had featured in the Slaugham Archives website. He has written back to me thanking me for the link and informing me that his children were able to print out a copy of the above picture which included his late wife.
He thanked me and said it took him down memory lane, remembering names and happy times associated with the picture.

My wonderful Gran, Lily Jakes, what an inspiration, such a busy lady.
