The photograph was taken soon after picture #680, but already the ornamental trees and climbing plants are becoming well established.
It seems incredible that Mr Philip Saillard built this grand Jacobean-style mansion as a family home. But of course one must find room for the ten or so servants as the 1891 census informs us. Click on Open Document to view.
