Tilgate Forest Lodge estate staff

The Tilgate estate was purchased by John Nix in about 1863 and when he died in 1926 his brother, Charles Nix, took over. In 1939 the Nix family sold Tilgate and moved to Free Chase in Warninglid taking some the staff with them.
Included in the estate staff based at Tilgate Forest Lodge was my pipe-smoking grandfather, Harry Ray, seen here on the left. He was chauffeur for the Nix family, driving horse-drawn carriages initially and then the newfangled motorcars as they became available.
Please can anyone identify others in the photograph?

My mum's uncle, Ernest Verrall (by his marriage to her aunt Florence Barnes), also worked and lived at Tilgate and Freechase but we do not know if he is any of the men in the photograph or what his duties were. They had 2 daughters, Phyllis and Doris.
My mum recalls also a Mr Pierce who she believes was the butler and she remembers his grandson, Roland.
Mum used to stay at Tilgate and Free Chase for holidays with her aunt and uncle.
