Pony and trap in the Horsham Road, Handcross

A pony and trap has come to a halt in the Horsham Road probably as requested by the photographer. Outside of Highbury Cottages some of the residents are gathered in the sunshine.
Further up the road there is a veritable forest blotting out any view of the Mission Room, later to be converted into All Saints Church.
The postcard is very faded, but fortunately mostly around the periphery.
