Twisted chimney at Chilmans, SlaughamThis tall, boiler flue chimney was built twisted at Chilmans in Slaugham in 1972 to aid smoke exhaustion and also to depict the owner’s character.
In 1976 the West Sussex Gazette featured a large article on the many charms of living in Slaugham, and the easy-going style of the narrative can be enjoyed by clicking on Open Document.
