A large contingent of Handcross Home Guard have mustered outside the Parish Hall for an official photograph. There are 67 men in total; quite a turnout from such a small village.

I have stumbled on a scruffy, untitled piece of paper listing certain names which clearly relate to this photograph. The list above now includes the names from all sources.

I recognise Bill Newman, number 48.
He was my grandad and lived in Handcross.
