Flower Festival at St. Mary's church, Slaugham

The theme of the flower display on and beside the font, which went from crisp white to deep cascading red, represented the Marriage at Cana, which was most appropriate as there was a wedding due to take place at 2.00pm on the Saturday, and it was mine!
Early attendees at the wedding included Miss Emily Bailey, nearest on the left, Mrs Lily Verlander with a white hat on the left, and Jim and Marjory Trickey on the right, her with the fuchsia hat.
On the right, the Rev. David Towne waits to perform the ceremony.
As a little bit of luxury, the blue carpet was hired from George Hilton’s furnishings and homeware shop in South Road, Haywards Heath.
