New shops in Handcross High Street

The High Street in Handcross has seen significant changes during 2013, and one of these is the conversion of Devonshire House to a coffee shop, trading as Sabrina’s Sweet Things.
During the last century the shop was used for Mr Anscombe's boot and shoe repairs (see picture #441), and then as Devonshire Dairy operated by Mr Les Moore.
Further up the High Street, the demolition of the Fountain Inn (picture #606) took place to provide the site for the 11 new houses and 2 flats of Fountain Mews.
A retail shop was also built but, until a purchaser is found, it is being used as a sales office for the development.
