Tilgate Forest Cottage Lodge

This is a picture of my mother, Ena Scutt (née Tiller, of Mill Road, Three Bridges), outside the lodge to Tilgate Forest Cottage in 1937. The property has since been demolished to enable road widening of the A23.
Further details of Tilgate Forest Cottage can be found with picture #165.
We had moved here from Hogs Hill Farm Cottage, Brighton Road, Pease Pottage, where I was born. This is now located in Crawley but was the first and last property in Slaugham Parish prior to the two successive boundary changes.
My father, Charles William Scutt, worked for Mr. O. T. Norris of Tilgate Forest Lodge which is located a short distance to the south.
