I can now add names to about a half of those in the photograph. Please see above.
Please can anybody identify some of the others?

Mrs Harman (No.12) was not a teacher, she was assistant cook to Mrs Westmorland (Head cook) who is No.19 in your picture.

(Thank you, Fran, I have adjusted the text above accordingly, Barry)

How wonderful to see this photo.
I am No. 16, Wendy Marin, now living for many years in Spain.

Dear all,
What a pleasant surprise to see this again. Thank you, David Frewer, my ex-classmate.
I'm No. 61 in the front row, the Welsh guy who, according to some of you, had the dreaded lyrghi, although I never worked out what that was ....!
Where are my good friends Ana Maria Martinez and her brother Jose?
BTW, I think you'll find that the photo dates more from 1975 (or possibly early 1976) than 1973, as I was at St Mark's C of E Primary School from 1973-74. (Thanks, Sion, I have altered the date to 1975. Admin.)
Best wishes to all.

Hello Sion,
Is Ana Maria Martinez no. 14??

Here are a few other suggestions, but, unfortunately, I can't match up their numbers. I just know they were good friends of mine from that time.
1. Michelle Jenkins (Carla Jenkins's daughter, perhaps no. 20. She had an older brother, Dominic).
2. Rod and Brad (surname unknown) - Two brothers who lived near us when we lived at Old Park Lodge, (I thought these might be 46 and 47, but can be told otherwise).
3. Janet Burt (from South Shields who also lived on the Old Park estate with her family).
4. Martin and Kevin (surnames unknown) - another family from the Old Park Estate.
5. Daniel Jones, Pondtail Farm and his sister, Jessica (who gave me a farm kitten as a birthday present in May 1975).
6. Richard Cahill (who lived up Beacon Hall way, I think).
7. Ana Maria (possibly 66) and Jose Martinez, I've already mentioned.
Don't forget to add me at Number 61 to your list, too! (Right ho. Now added. Barry Ray)
Many thanks.

Number 4 Martin and Kevin was Sanger, if spelt right. See No. 28 above.
