This is the main entrance to Woodhurst Hospital which acted as a convalescent home to where ladies were sent for a week or two to recover from surgery. They were transported by ambulance from and to hospitals in London.
This is a similar view to that shown in picture #995, except that an extra window has been squeezed in on the ground floor just left of the porch.
